Tai Chi Chuan Yang has 108 movements, divided into three parts. The first, “Earth”, establishes the basics of movement and posture, with rotations limited to 135°. The second, “Man”, includes two series of kicks and multiple 180° rotations. The third, “Sky”, is the longest with around fifty movements, including difficult 270° rotations.

About Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan is an internal Chinese martial art. The Yang style is the most widespread in the West. It was invented by Taoist monks several centuries ago. They created what we call “the shapes” by observing nature. These forms are sequences of movements that can resemble fights. The movements vary in fluidity, slowness and number depending on the style. Tai Chi Chuan Yang aims to strengthen oneself and strengthen one's balance and grounding. We practice it by using our strength, the “Qi”, inside ourselves. There is no notion of competition in Chinese philosophy. Internal martial arts promote balance of strength and harmony of body and mind.
